Residents of San Antonio’s District 7 will have an opportunity to meet directly with their elected representative this weekend during another installment of Coffee with the Councilwoman, a community gathering designed to foster conversation between residents and city leaders.

Councilwoman Marina Alderete Gavito is inviting community members to join her on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Los Cocos, located at 1502 Bandera Road, for an informal discussion about issues affecting the district and the city as a whole.

The event has become one of the councilwoman’s most popular community outreach efforts, providing residents with a chance to stay informed about city projects, neighborhood concerns, and initiatives currently being discussed at City Hall. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, share concerns, and connect directly with the councilwoman and her staff.

This month’s meeting will feature a special guest, Animal Care Services Director Jonathan Gary, who will be available to discuss one of the concerns frequently raised by residents: loose and stray animals in San Antonio neighborhoods.

City officials say the discussion will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about Animal Care Services’ response efforts, ask questions about enforcement and animal welfare policies, and share firsthand experiences from their communities.

Coffee with the Councilwoman is part of an ongoing effort to improve communication between local government and residents while ensuring community concerns are heard and addressed.

Councilwoman Gavito encouraged residents to attend and participate in the conversation, noting that community feedback plays an important role in shaping district priorities and city services.

Residents unable to attend can continue to contact the District 7 office by phone at (210) 207-0870 or by email at district7@sanantonio.gov.
