Approximately 130,000 fans have attended the first three major September events at San Antonio’s Alamodome. Several concerts and a UTSA football game remain on the schedule.

San Antonio’s Alamodome has welcomed approximately 130,000 fans during the first three major events of its “September to Remember,” with more concerts and UTSA football still scheduled this month.

Nearly 100,000 concertgoers attended the first two September concerts. Karol G and My Chemical Romance each drew nearly 50,000 fans, while more than 33,000 people attended UTSA’s home opener on September 5.

The lineup continues Wednesday, September 16, with Guns N’ Roses, joined by special guest Pierce the Veil. Bruno Mars is scheduled for September 23, followed by UTSA football on September 26 and Iron Maiden on September 29. The schedule continues into October with The R&B Tour starring Usher Raymond & Chris Brown.

City officials said major concerts and sporting events bring visitors to San Antonio and generate activity at hotels, restaurants, attractions and businesses beyond the Alamodome.

“September has been an incredible example of what the Alamodome was built to do — bring people together for major events while creating activity that extends well beyond our doors,” said Patricia Muzquiz Cantor, director of the City of San Antonio Convention & Sports Facilities Department.

For the Guns N’ Roses concert, VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide Park & Ride service from Brooks Transit Center at 3026 Sidney Brooks Drive and Crossroads Park & Ride at 151 North Crossroads Blvd. Service will go to the Robert Thompson Transit Station next to the Alamodome at 183 Montana St. Attendees should check VIA’s event information because service details vary by event.

Rideshare drop-off and pickup will be at Alamodome Lot D on the west side of I-37/US 281 at Montana Street. Drivers should allow extra travel time and check current traffic conditions and posted street closures.

On-site Alamodome parking costs $60, is sold when lots open at 3 p.m. on event day, and accepts credit cards only. Concert parking is first-come, first-served, with no advance on-site parking available.
