The Hill Country Animal League invites the community to its 5th annual Barktoberfest, an Oktoberfest-inspired celebration dedicated to pets, families, and fun. The free event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Main Plaza, 100 North Main Street, Boerne, TX.

Barktoberfest has quickly become one of Boerne’s most beloved fall traditions, combining the lively spirit of Oktoberfest with a celebration of furry friends. The event offers a full day of entertainment, local flavors, and family-friendly activities—all while supporting the Hill Country Animal League’s mission to promote pet welfare and adoption.

  • Dog Costume Contest – From spooky to silly, see pets dressed in their most creative Halloween looks.
