San Antonio residents and visitors can help shape the future of the River Walk at a public meeting scheduled for Monday, September 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Library, 600 Soledad.
Led by the City of San Antonio’s Office of Historic Preservation, the River Walk Strategic Plan is being developed as a framework for future decision-making and investments related to the historic River Walk.
The meeting will be the second public meeting for the planning process. Attendees will hear about feedback gathered so far and see how that input is shaping the draft River Walk Strategic Plan. Participants will also have an opportunity to speak directly with the project team and provide early feedback on draft recommendations.
A citywide digital survey drew responses from 7,320 residents and visitors. The City also held its first public input meeting on May 9, 2026. That meeting introduced the planning process and invited the public to share ideas, concerns and visions for the River Walk’s next chapter.
Residents can register for the September 28 meeting through SASpeakUp.com/RiverWalk.
Parking at Central Library will be free with a validation ticket.
