Dear District 10 Residents,
This week, we pause our usual updates to acknowledge a heartbreaking tragedy that has shaken our greater community.
The catastrophic flooding that swept through Kerrville and surrounding areas has claimed the lives of over 100 people — many of them children. This loss is devastating beyond words. Our hearts go out to every family grieving, every community mourning, and every first responder who stepped into danger to help.
While District 10 was not physically affected, we are emotionally connected. These are our neighbors. And in times like this, San Antonio’s strength lies in its compassion.
We invite you to join us in supporting relief efforts and honoring those we’ve lost.
How You Can Help
If you’re able to give, here are verified ways to support those impacted by the floods:
Donate to Kerr County United Way – Providing emergency funds to affected families.
Support the Texas Diaper Bank – Serving displaced children and families.
Volunteer with Red Cross Central Texas – Opportunities for on-site and remote help.
Give to the Hill Country Community Foundation Flood Relief Fund – Long-term recovery support.
Blood Donation – South Texas Blood & Tissue Center is accepting urgent donations.
Thank you for your continued support, input, and engagement. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to my office—we’re here to serve.
